RSV-FirflyLuc virus 1X106PFU/ml
The virus RSV-FireflyLuc has been engineered to express Firefly luciferase (Promega). This creation involved modifying the wild-type parent virus based on the RSV strain A2. The locus of luciferase insertion was tactically chosen between the P and M genes in order to avoid any potential hindrance to the expression of NS1 and NS2 genes. During the construction of the transcriptional cassette for the reporter gene, the G gene end signal was selected due to its high efficiency and minor interference with the viral transcriptional mechanism. Given that gene start signals are generally more conserved, we utilized the typical signal from the N gene. RSV-FireflyLuc is particularly useful for studies that require exact quantification.
